ISPIE

Professional Designations

A core aim for ISPIE is to recognise professionals working in the area of inclusive education that are appropriately qualified and experienced to undertake that work.

An ISPIE designation indicates that, within the field of inclusive education, professional peers have seen and acknowledged a valid qualification and also recognised prior learning or the experience of that individual for inclusive or specialised practice.

Applications for designations are open to current, paid-up, members of ISPIE. It is our intention to support any member wishing to apply for a designation. We ask that members engage us if any aspect of the application process is prohibitive.

The purpose of awarding a designation is to provide recognition for the years of experience practitioners have acquired in working with learners with barriers to learning, through practice and/or underlying qualification(s) across a range of the educational settings.

The award of a designation will  encourage continuous professional development, adherence to ISPIE code of conduct and to build public confidence in individuals who hold a designation.
